Are You Resolute or Do You Have Resolve?

This year is particularly symbolic as we enter a new decade, especially for business owners.  It gives renewed hope, a chance to create short and long benchmarks as well as set goals that can be measured over time.

Being an impact-driven entrepreneur yourself, you’ve probably made a few resolutions for yourself already.

And chances are, you haven’t begun achieve them. (If you have, fantastic! 🙂

In case you haven’t, I want you to know the reason why.

Human beings are wired pretty much the same way.  Your wiring is the way you are, how you show up and what you do each day.  The decisions you make, the behaviors you demonstrate and the feelings you feel day in and day out.  Just because a New Year starts, doesn’t mean you automatically reset your wiring.  Just because you want to do something new or different, it doesn’t automatically just happen.

You have to rewire yourself from the inside.  You have to go deep and change a few (if not a lot of) things.  And that is not easy to say the least.  Some of these patterns have been a part of you for 20, 30 years.  Especially when you’re already juggling a full life and business.

What you really need is an expert who has done this for hundreds of people just like you to show you the way.  Someone who has a tried and tested path, results to prove her worth and a reputation that speaks for itself. I mean, if you broke your foot, you would not try and fix it yourself, that would be absurd.  You would immediately book an appointment with an expert, a podiatrist. So why would you not do that for your business?

There’s something else I want to leave you with today is…

The reason why most people have begun to detest the word “Resolution” is because they aren’t able to achieve what they set out to do.  Whether it’s grow their business, become a better parent, focus on their well-being or travel more.  So it really doesn’t matter what you call it, goals or resolutions, most people focus on the “resolute” part.  The part that aims at achieving or creating something. And that pressure alone, defeats them.  To figure everything out for themselves and spend more of the time they don’t already have ignites new fears, creates uncertainty and leads to further exhaustion and overwhelm.

What you should be focusing on is the “resolve” part of the word.  To bring to conclusion or to finish something.

There’s something that’s been holding you back from realizing your best self, your best business. And that something has perhaps shown up year after year.

So why not stop that. Dead in its tracks. Once and for all.  Isn’t this year YOUR year? Are you claiming it?

Don’t wait until its mid-year or the end of the year to hit the reset button in panic.

You should do it NOW.  It’s this resolve that will make your goals happen naturally- financial, freedom and fun!
